I just returned from an unforgettable stay at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, and I’m already dreaming about my next visit. Nestled in the high Sonoran Desert with incredible views of Pinnacle Peak, this resort strikes the perfect balance between luxury and adventure.

The weather was in the high 60s during our stay—ideal for spending time outdoors. We took full advantage of the hiking opportunities right outside our door. One morning, we tackled the Pinnacle Peak trail, a scenic two-hour hike we could walk to from the resort. On another day, we ventured to the top of Tom’s Thumb, where the panoramic views were absolutely worth the climb.

After all that activity, I made time for a massage at the resort’s spa, which was nothing short of amazing. It was exactly what I needed to recover and relax.

When we weren’t out exploring, we spent plenty of time lounging poolside, soaking up the desert sun. The tranquil setting, surrounded by saguaro cacti and dramatic rock formations, made for the ultimate in relaxation. Whether we were enjoying a good book, taking a dip to cool off, or just taking in the views, the pool area was the perfect place to unwind. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the poolside menu made it easy to stay put—we dined there three times, enjoying a strawberry salad, salmon poke, and a grouper sandwich, all fresh and flavorful.

One of our favorite dining spots was Proof, the resort’s casual yet stylish American canteen. The space is cozy and rustic, with a vintage railroad-inspired theme and a relaxed, indoor-outdoor vibe that fits perfectly with the desert surroundings. The menu is full of comfort food classics with a Southwestern twist, and everything we tried was delicious. We dined there twice and especially loved their fresh, creative salads and hearty BBQ options—think smoked meats, savory sides, and bold flavors that satisfy after a day on the trails. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger over your meal and maybe even come back for more the next night (which we did!).

From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and thoughtful, ensuring we felt pampered throughout our stay.
